EDC Seeks Applications for Hall of Fame Awards This year’s competition marks the 23rd anniversary for the awards program that recognizes excellence among Sarasota County businesses. Awards winners will be announced in the following categories at a luncheon on Sept. 17 at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota: To be considered for the Hall of Fame Awards a nominee must be a business located in Sarasota County, Florida and pay an average wage of at least $35,665. Companies of all sizes are eligible to enter. Businesses should demonstrate corporate citizenship, community involvement and corporate responsibility through employee programs. Companies may apply for one award category, and may not apply for an award category if they have won that award in the previous two years.
